Classic Stadium scooter mirrors are iconic accessories, particularly popular during the 1950s and 1960s. These mirrors are known for their distinctive vintage design, which perfectly complements the classic scooters of that time, such as the Lambretta and Vespa.

Design and Features:

  • Shape and Style: Stadium mirrors often feature round or oval mirror heads, mounted on long, curved stems. The design is simple yet elegant, with a focus on functionality and aesthetic appeal. The mirrors were typically attached to the handlebars or bodywork of the scooter, adding a stylish touch to the vehicle’s appearance.
  • Materials: These mirrors were generally made from durable metals like chrome-plated steel or polished aluminium, giving them a shiny, reflective finish. The use of quality materials ensured that they were not only stylish but also resistant to rust and wear.
  • Mounting: Stadium mirrors for scooters have adjustable arms, allowing the rider to position the mirrors for optimal rear visibility. This flexibility made them practical as well as fashionable.
  • Popularity: During their heyday, Stadium mirrors were highly sought after by scooter enthusiasts, particularly those who wanted to personalize their ride with accessories that reflected the culture and style of the times. They became synonymous with the mod subculture in the UK, where multiple mirrors were often mounted on scooters as a fashion statement.

Legacy:

Today, original Stadium scooter mirrors are considered collector’s items, cherished by vintage scooter enthusiasts and restorers for their authenticity and historical value. Their classic design continues to inspire modern reproductions, keeping the legacy of the brand alive among new generations of riders.

Beautifully made from soft leather stiched to nicely Chrome plated frames and with real glass lenses (an optional extra) these goggles fit beautifully and give a very authentic 40’s look. The quick release lens retainer is a nice touch as is the rubberised back of the strap which stops the goggles from riding up on a crash helmet.Highly recommended.

I’ve tried both Bar End Mirror types and I’m very satisfied but I prefer this type. Absolutely no vibrations so I’ve ended up with them on all my motorcycles 👌
